Rick Young Ultralight Binocular Harness

The Rick Young Outdoors Ultralight Binocular Harness solves a lot of the problems associated with the standard webbing binocular straps. They are extremely lightweight and very comfortable to wear all day long.

The Ultralight Binocular Harness features are numerous:

  • Very compact and lightweight
  • Minimal straps prevent heat build-up
  • No wind vibration that is experienced with standard webbing straps
  • Less tension in the system for easier glassing
  • Quick Release clips allow the binos to be removed quickly and easily
  • Much less binocular "bounce" when hiking or crawling
  • Hold your Binos up higher on the chest
  • Easily adjustable

Exactly what I was looking for

Seems like it's going to be the ticket. Gonna put it thru the mill this spring.

Best on the market!

I like the fact it traps less sweat/odor vs the normal carry straps. Unobtrusive & easy packing in a small pack.

Ingenious harness

Simple, effective and comfortable. This weighs next to nothing and can be configured for a multitude of carry options. Very happy to have found the perfect harness for me to be also affordable.

almost perfect

Super light and unobtrusive and seems durable. Doesn't make me hot wearing it like I think most bino harnesses would. If I adjust it so that binos are high on my chest, I have to pull against the shock cord to get them up to my eyes. At the end of a long day, my eyes hurt from pushing lens cups into them and my arm was tired from pushing. So I loosened the cord them to give myself more slack. The top of the binos are now about level with the bottom of my sternum. This results in a little more bino swing/bounce, but it's tolerable. I was worried about abrasions from the cord but that was not really an issue. Minor aggravation under my armpit from the cord pulling and moving under my shoulder straps. I think this will almost go away with the looser mount. Haven't tried the side mount for a day yet because I don't think the binos are as easy to grab there.
