This sight is ridiculous! I've shot nothing but 5 & 7 fixed pin sights for over 40 years, and now I'm getting ready to sell them all. Rob's set up tutorial made installation a breeze, and when I needed a bit more left adjustment, I found exactly what I needed in Rob's tips. I knew my bows FPS, but decided to follow the 20 and 60yd pin "sight in" method. After that, I sighted in my 30-40-50 yard pins. I was super precise in measuring the distance between my 20 & 60 yard marks, compared it to my FPS, and actually landed between two tapes. So I decided that I'd go with the "sighted in" gap, and picked what looked to be the closest one. After installing the tape, I honestly was still a bit skeptical about how accurate I would be at longer distances. Well, when my first arrow at 80 yards was an "X", and three of four arrows were in the bullseye, I could not have been happier that I purchased the BG Pro! On top of that, I was dead on accurate at 100 yds too! I'm going to custom order my next 5 pin, and while I'll keep the base green-green-yellow-green-green setup, I'm going to order the 20 & 30 yard pins in the .010 diameter. I stressed a bit about the price at first but I gotta say, this is just a totally awesome sight, and Rob is off-the-charts when it comes to customer service.
I love this sight.....Didn't take long to sight it in, and being able to specialize it to what I specifically want was awesome. I have heard of Black Gold for years, but it wasn't until this year that I decided to pull the trigger, and I am really glad that I did!!! It's one of the best sights out there....and having lifetime warranties is an added bonus that put it over the top!!!
Went with 3 pin, Green, Yellow, Green. Top 2 pins are 0.19 and my lower pin is 0.10. Double indicator is well worth it. The click micro adjust is much nicer than i expected. I will never own a site that isn't full micro click adjust again. My bow chrono' s 257 fps with 520 gn Easton Axis arrows and I can dial all the way out to 83 yards with the top pin zeroed at 20 yards. Pretty neat shooting 0-83 yards on top pin and 40-100 yards with the bottom pin. 265.5 fps tape matches really well. The MBG Pro is well worth the money. Super easy to set up. Would purchase again.
Just started using it, the first week I was ready to send it back. Lots of adjustments and little patience. Stuck with it and now using it like a pro.
New to the sport, I’ve been shooting archery for only 6 months, so I don’t have much experience with other brands. After hours of research I decided to go with Black Gold, a company that stands behind their product, and so many great reviews is always a good sign. I found the black gold pro to be more than sufficient in adjustability and quality. Even though it’s a bit pricey, its worth it. I was very pleased working with Rob, giving me pointers on how to set up my custom sight. I decided on three pins, top and middle pin are 0.19 and my lower pin being 0.10. I also got double indicator which could be confusing to set up at first, but once I got it dialed in it’s pretty amazing. With the help of the videos that s&s has available, first, second, and third axis was a breeze to set up. I’m looking forward to hours of practice to be ready for my first archery elk hunt in September.
