Really hadn’t gotten a chance to put it into action yet but I have messed wit my it in the yard a bit. Seems to do the job. Lights up the pins just fine !!
Awesome light. Perfect for those early morning shots. The new bracket is definitely an upgrade from the old one.
Differently like it.
Bad design already fell off and damaged plastic housing on my Kentucky hunt , had to buy a tru glo universal kit now my $500 pure gold is damaged and looks like crap ! Way to go S&S
The newer model light has a smaller mounting bracket than the previous. Very easy to install, but be careful not to let the plastic housing for the fiber optic leads to the sight pins fall away. It took me a little effort to get them rewound.
I just used the site on a bear hunt. The light adjustment knob turns in both directions. When you twist clockwise, the first setting is brightest, then mid, then low. Low is all I needed at end of shooting light. So, you have to cycle through bright and mid to get to low. Turn the other way, and the light unscrews from the bracket. Consider reconfiguring the light to cycle lowest to brightest in clockwise sequence.
I also had a problem with replacement batteries in the older model. I replaced the batteries once, and the light never worked correctly again. This led me to buy the replacement, which was only marginally more expensive than the replacement batteries!
