The Aziak Equipment Kowa 55mm Mount brings rotational capability to the Kowa 553/55a spotting scope. The Kowa is among the premier lightweight spotting scopes available, and the only thing it lacks is that it cannot be rotated to compensate for different viewing angles. 

The Kowa Mount securely attaches the body of the spotting scope and allows full rotation to allow viewing from either the left or right side when using the scope at large up or downhill angles.

At .7 oz this mount is lighter than most Arca Swiss adapter plates!

          Very shaky

          I was hopeful on this clamp based on the shops recommendation, but ended up very disappointed. This Kowa 55mm rotating Arca Swiss mount was extremely shaky in ANY windy conditions. With even mild winds, mounted on my Slik 633, the 55A was so shaky that glassing was very inefficient and ineffective.

          I double checked to see that it was mounted correctly to the spotter, as well as to my tri-pod arca mount. No issues there. I then removed it and mounted an arca plate directly to the spotter mount…. No more vibration in windy conditions before….

          I cannot recommend this product. Aziak would need to change the design/material to be far stiffer to stand up to windy conditions. As it is made today, it is a waste of money.
