For the backcountry hunter, the tsn-770 spotting scope is the perfect balance between low light performance, weight and functionality. While the Kowa TSN 880 may be considered by many as the best scope you can buy, the TSN 770 is a close second. The size and compactness of a 60mm scope with the performance of a 80mm, and a price that makes it available to all.

The PROMINAR models TSN-773/774 have an XD objective lens with low dispersion properties to diminish chromatic aberration. The concave lens paired with the XD lens is made of glass with special dispersion properties to reduce the chromatic aberration to a further degree. The performance and compactness of these spotting scopes are second to no other scope in this class.

Great spotter, keeps up with the ATS80HD most of the time, just a few oz heavier and cold to the touch if you run it bare
After talking with the guys at S&S, I decided to give this scope a try. In sun, I could not be more pleased. First off, I needed the item shipped quickly as I was leaving for a scouting trip, and I received a shipping notification 20 min after completing the purchase and it arrived exactly when they said it would. Extremely good customer service. Secondly, as far as the scope itself, I previously owned a second gen vortex and this thing is night and day better than that. Extremely clear, even at full zoom, great in low light. Would highly recommend both the 773 AND S&S.
I own 2 other Kowas that are both awesome, the 774 I recently purchased is beyond fantastic. I use specifically for hunting and whether I’m spotting antelope or mule deer while back pack hunting you can’t get a better scope. You get what you pay for with optics and this scope is the absolute best there is. I’ve wanted the 774 for a while and finally decided it was time to purchase, best purchase I’ve ever made.
I've had this for about a year now, and I still like it just as much as when I bought it. I carried it around deer hunting all fall and now into the spring I still bring it most places. Paired with a lightweight tripod, its not to much to carry around.
And I'm glad I did. Fantastic day or night
