These poles are light, sturdy and easy to use. I would suggest making sure the handles aren't exposed when carrying them in your pack. I had to buy a 2nd pair because the wrist strap snagged on some brush and yanked the poles out of my backpack w/o me realizing it.
Have had these poles a short time but already know they are stable and strong feeling. Having old, tired knees it is important when hiking and hunting in the high country of Colorado to have rigid support when the legs are wanting to quit on you. These fit the bill!!
Lightweight, strong and very sturdy. I would 100% purchase again.
So I waited to review these until I had put them to good use. I can honestly say these are great! I've had no problems with them slipping. They are super light, and add that stability you need when packing out with game on your back. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
My son and I just came back from a elk scouting trip from the San Juan Mtns. The poles work great until they don't. We both had slippage and the need to re-tighten them. Then the final day we were up high and the rain came and we needed the poles for the ascent and descent and they collapsed when wet. The problem then is it is very hard to tighten them once your hands are wet. One of the poles tightening mechanisms broke and it became useless. I wanted to snap it in half, but decided against it and hope they will replace it or exchange it for another type pole. If not, I will epoxy it in the position i need and make due. Nice concept, but didn't hold up.
